Aromatic Chemistry Workshop

by Mark Webb

TBA

An understanding of Chemistry and Pharmacology allows both students and practitioners alike to work safely with aromatics and to more fully appreciate their safe role in therapeutics practice.

To change the publics perception of Aromatherapy from a “smelly touchy feely massage” we need to demonstrate clinical skills and have good scientific understanding of how aromatic constituents effect the mind and the body.

Mark addresses the chemical and pharmacological science behind Aromatherapy. He brings a direct, warm, often humorous teaching style to this difficult area and has helped hundreds of students develop a deeper understanding of aromatics and appreciate just why they do what they do.

During this intensive 2 day workshop Mark uses aromatic samples to demonstrate the differences between constituents. He also shows the differences between quality therapeutic aromatics and those often sold to the public. He will help train and develop your aromatic memory of what makes a good quality aromatic in a similar way to wine appreciation.
